• Oxygen-moisture kinetics control the oxidative ageing and moisture damage of bitumen. The transport reaction processes oxygen in bitumen are reviewed. Moisture-oxygen strongly affect physicochemical mechanical properties. possibilities for coupling effects discussed. Oxidative key factors degradation asphalt pavement deterioration. on governed by their processes. This paper provides an overview theories concepts developed to describe kinetics, thermodynamics mechanisms within moisture- oxygen-induced changes properties also aim is summarize literature findings conclusions discuss establishing coupled moisture-oxygen models be used long-term performance predictions.
